While “customer” and “client” are often referred to as the same type of person, you are more likely to develop a deeper relationship with a client. Clients are consumers who use a more tailored, personalized service and often establish strong customer-loyalty with a company.
To market to your clients, you want to establish WHY your product or service will be of value to them. You also want to build their trust in the quality of your service or product. Once you have gained their trust, you want to continue building a relationship by offering incentives for them to keep returning. This includes (but is not limited to): a rewards program, coupons to subscribers, new products/services to satisfy their needs, or something as simple as a handwritten thank-you note!
